The Station That Remembers
Space Opera · Cinematic
Halcyon Station turns its lights red at 0300. Every dock, every corridor, every face in the queue for the shuttle home.
Then the announcement comes, in a voice nobody on the crew has heard before. Calm. Patient. Coming from the walls.
HALCYON
Captain Ilse Varga. You left something here eleven years ago. I kept it for you.
Your pilot stops chewing. Your engineer reaches for the bolt gun she swore she sold. Through the viewport, the shuttle bay doors begin to close.
