Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and NOVOR PINNACLE STREAM LTD(“we”, “us”), which operates Talekai. By creating an account or using Talekai, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Talekai.

What Talekai is

Talekai writes interactive fiction in many genres with AI, scene by scene, in response to your choices. Stories are fiction. They are not advice of any kind, they can be inaccurate or inconsistent, and they may by chance resemble existing works or stories written for other readers.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. You enter your birth date when you set up the app, and stories and Kai chats are only available to profiles with a birth date showing you are 18 or older. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for activity under your account.

Content rules

Talekai can write violence, horror, romance and dark or mature themes as fiction, at the intensity you choose. You agree not to use Talekai to:

• create sexual content involving minors, in any setting, including fictional ones;
• create explicit sexual content;
• target, harass or sexualize real people, or create content that defames them;
• get real-world harmful instructions through a story, such as for weapons, drugs or self-harm;
• get around our safety rules or filters;
• reproduce copyrighted text or infringe anyone else’s rights;
• break the law, access other accounts, or disrupt or overload the service.

Our Safety page describes the intensity levels and the hard lines that no setting unlocks.

Reporting and enforcement

You can report any scene in the app, or email contact@novor.dev. A person reviews reports, usually within 48 hours. If an account breaks these terms, we may warn you, remove content, or suspend or close the account. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond by email.

Original stories, not fan copies

Talekai writes original stories inspired by genre tropes. It is not affiliated with any publisher, author, webtoon or webnovel platform. Ask for a story like a series you love and you get an original story with similar appeal, not that series or its characters.

Who owns what

What you write in Talekai, such as your premises and typed actions, stays yours. You let us store and process it to run and improve the service. The stories written for you are yours to read, keep and share. AI-written text may not be protected by copyright, and similar text may be written for others. If you publish a story elsewhere, you are responsible for what you publish. The app, its design, its name, and its prompt and generation systems remain ours.

Scenes, Talekai Plus and scene packs

A scene is one newly written part of a story. Each scene written successfully uses one scene from your allowance, whether it starts a story or continues one. Reading, rereading, failed attempts, retries and the final ending scene are free.

Free accounts receive 15 new scenes each day, refilled at 00:00 UTC. Unused daily scenes bank up to 45. Stories continue in chapters of 12 to 20 scenes. We check your balance before a new story or chapter starts; once a chapter starts, you can finish it even if your balance reaches zero. You will never be asked to pay in the middle of a chapter, and choices never cost extra.

Talekai Plus is an optional subscription bought through Apple, at $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year in the US. Your local price, billing period and currency are shown before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. There is no free trial at launch. Plus includes 1,500 new scenes each calendar month, refilled on the first day of the month at 00:00 UTC. Unused monthly scenes do not roll over.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Plus stays active until the paid period ends.

Scene packs are one-time purchases of 150 scenes for $2.99 in the US, or 300 scenes if you have Plus when you buy. Pack scenes are used after your daily or monthly scenes, never expire, and stay available if Plus ends. Apple does not restore one-time purchases, so your pack balance is saved to your Talekai account: sign in to the same account on a new device. Restore Purchases restores subscriptions.

Apple handles purchases and refund requests under its own terms. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Availability and liability

Talekai is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it running well but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. If the app stopped you at the birth date step, use Delete my data on that screen instead, or email us. Deleting permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes go to the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can also bring a claim in your local courts where that law allows.

Changes

If these terms change, we will post the new version here and update the date above, and tell you in the app when the change is significant. Continuing to use Talekai after that means you accept the updated terms.
